Video: Iran’s martyred Leader’s casket arrives at Imam Hussein’s shrine

Pars Today – Iraqi media reported that, after hours of funeral procession in the holy city of Karbala, the body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution arrived at the shrine of Imam Hussein (pbuh).

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, after hours of procession through the holy city of Karbala, the body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution was carried into the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (pbuh) in the early hours of Thursday morning by mourners.

The funeral prayer for the martyred Leader was performed with the participation of large numbers of pilgrims, led by Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (pbuh) and representative of Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the senior Shia religious authority in Iraq.

Iraqi media also reported that preparations were underway for the placement of the body at the shrine of Abbas ibn Ali (pbuh), for the continuation of the farewell ceremonies.
