PUIC secretary-general condemns Israel's settlement plans, detention of Palestinians

Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (PUIC) Mahmud Erol Kiliç deplored Israel for occupying Palestinian lands and arresting a large number of the Palestinian people.

"We condemn the occupier Zionist regime's acts, development of settlements and detention of the Palestinian nationals," Kilic said, addressing the 13th PUIC session in Tehran on Tuesday.

He blasted Israel and its allies' attempts to provoke Islamophobia in the world, and said, "We, in cooperation with each other, could defeat terrorism and make the terrorists withdraw."

Kilic also hailed Iran for its support for Palestine and constructive cooperation in the region.
