Yemenis target Saudi base with ballistic missile

Yemeni army forces and Popular Committees have launched a locally-designed and -manufactured ballistic missile toward a military base run by the Saudi-led invading coalition in Yemen’s central province of Ma’rib, a report says.

Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing an unnamed military source, reported that the Qaher M-2 ballistic missile was fired against the Om al-Rish military base on Thursday morning.

It added that the missile hit the target with “high precision.” There were, however, no immediate reports about the number of possible casualties and the extent of damage caused.

On Wednesday evening, the forces also targeted gatherings of Saudi mercenaries at the Khabb & Sha’af district in Yemen’s northern province of Jawf with the same ballistic missile, Yemen’s official SABA news agency, reported.

There was no immediate comment from Saudi officials on the missile attacks.

The Saudi campaign has killed at least 13,600 people since its onset. Furthermore, much of the country’s infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and factories, has been reduced to rubble in the Saudi war.

Famine and outbreaks of cholera and diphtheria are other results of the Saudi-led war.

Yemeni forces’ missile attacks are part of a national retaliation campaign against the Saudi aggression.
