Yemenis protest against Saudi-led attack on Hudaydah
Thousands of Yemenis have taken to the streets of the port city of Hudaydah to protest against the Saudi-led aggression and to condemn the United Nations’ silence.
According to reports, residents of Tihamah region, which encompasses Hudaydah, staged a rally in the city on Friday to protest against the Saudi aggression, stressing that the invaders seek to dominate Yemen.
In a statement issued on Friday, the protesters voiced their support to the Yemeni army and popular committees in their battle against the Saudi invaders and their agents.
The statement also held Saudi Arabia, the UAE and their allies responsible for the crimes committed in the war and the consequences of the Saudi-led blockade.
It also called on the United Nations to shoulder its responsibility to protect the civilians and ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to them.
The protesters also condemned the stance of the UN on the humanitarian crisis in Hudaydah, considering its silence as evidence to its complicity in the aggression and its support for the invaders.
During the protest, the deputy governor of Hudaydah, Sheikh Ali Qeshr, stressed that the province will be turned into “a graveyard for any aggressor” by Yemeni forces.
