According to Pars Today, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasized the need for European countries to recognize an independent Palestine during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Madrid on Thursday. He also announced Spain's efforts to stop the war in Gaza.
Erdogan also described Spain's decision to recognize an independent Palestine as important.
Spain, in coordination with Norway and Ireland, recognized an independent Palestine in late May, a move that sparked anger among Zionists.
