Pars Today - Since the start of the Ukraine war, Western countries have repeatedly accused Tehran of fueling the war by selling arms to Russia without any evidence; an accusation that has been repeatedly rejected by Iranian officials.

In recent years, Ukraine, along with the United States and some European countries, has claimed that Russia has used Iranian drones in the Ukraine war; but this claim, which is made without providing any evidence, aims to increase political and economic pressure on Iran and Russia, as well as to justify the sending of Western weapons to Ukraine to continue the war.

According to Pars Today, Kiev's claim and its supporters against Tehran is while the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly emphasized that it is committed to an active neutrality policy regarding the Ukraine crisis.

In fact, Iran is not a party to this crisis and has tried from the beginning of this crisis to bring the two countries back to the path of diplomacy to resolve the differences and prevent the continuation of the war, within the framework of friendly relations with both sides.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has participated in expert meetings with the Ukrainian side to resolve the dispute, but the Ukrainian side has not provided any evidence of Russia's use of Iranian drones in the war, which is another reason for the baselessness of the accusations.

According to the announcement of Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the martyred foreign minister of Iran, the small number of Iranian drones that were in the possession of Russia were absolutely not related to the Ukraine war and date back to a very old arms contract before this war.

Regardless of this, the view of Iranian officials on the war in Ukraine has never been positive and they have repeatedly called for an end to it in favor of the people.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, in a televised speech a few days after the start of the Ukraine war said:

We do not approve of the killing of people, the destruction of the infrastructure of nations; we do not approve of these things wherever they happen in the world; this is our fixed word. We are not like the West... We are in favor of stopping the war in Ukraine, we want the war to end there; but the solution to any crisis is only possible if the root of the crisis is recognized. The root of the crisis in Ukraine is the policies of the United States, the policies of the West. 

Last year, the Leader also rejected the false claim of Iran's participation in the Ukraine war, noting:

We categorically and explicitly reject the presence in the Ukraine war, and this is absolutely not true. The United States launched the Ukraine war to expand NATO to the East, and now, while the Ukrainian people are struggling and facing problems, the United States and its arms manufacturing companies are making the most profit from the war, and that's why they are preventing the necessary work to end the war.

According to official statistics, seven major European arms manufacturers, as well as American arms manufacturing companies, have made significant profits since Russia's attack on Ukraine and the Zionist regime's attack on the Gaza Strip.
