Bizarre structure of US judiciary immunizes Trump against punishment
Pars Today - The decision of some of the American state courts to postpone the verdict of the country's former president, for several cases during the past years, has challenged the US judicial system.
Although the US supreme court and the judicial structure claim to be politically and legally independent in the controversial cases of the country and have kept insisting on this false proposition, the special will of the country's judicial system to postpone the verdict of the former president, Donald Trump, in various cases (in which his conviction has been proved), implies a different story.
According to the decision of a court in New York, Donald Trump's verdict in the "hush money case" will be issued after the presidential election. The verdict was supposed to be declared in mid-September.
Here, Pars Today has cast a look at an article by Hanif Ghaffari, from the Iranian daily Resalat, on the silence of the US judicial system vis-à-vis Trump's offences:
Four years after the controversial 2020 election in the US and Trump's explicit effort to announce false results for the election in Georgia state (which eventually ended with Biden's victory), the former president of the country has stayed in a judicial security margin.
It is quite obvious that, in this equation, the US judicial structure has turned into a variable dependent on the security and political structure with no will to enjoy its claimed independence in the face of the clear and secret cases against senior officials.
To prove this, one can point to the ruling of New York court for Trump's case of hush money to an actress of pornographic movies.
The jury of New York court in mid-June, admitted Trump guilty in the cases pertaining to concealing "immoral" payments to Stormy Daniels, former pornographic film actress, and fabrication of trade documents; but provided the ground for him to escape from punishment (with the chance of victory in the November presidential election). What has taken and will take place in this court is a document implying absolute injustice in the US judicial, political and security system; a firm and real proposition which needs no proof.
The new indictment of the American Special Prosecutor against Trump, related to "interference" in the 2020 presidential election, has also ended in the same way like his hush money case and tax evasion case.
If Donald Trump triumphs in the upcoming election, according to the US Constitution, he will be able to get amnesty for himself and those around him and declare the cases closed despite admission of offences! Here, the prison sentence or even fining will not have operational and executive effect on Trump.
