Pars Today - Egyptian analysts have sharply criticized the fact that money, gifts, and free investments were given to U.S. President Donald Trump during his visit to three Arab countries, without any demand for him to stop the war on Gaza.
According to Pars Today, Yemeni Al-Khouli, a professor at Cairo University, reacted on Friday to Donald Trump’s trip to the region, the warm welcome, and the lavish gifts presented to him by the authorities of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Yemeni Al-Khouli stated: “No country in history has ever given million-dollar gifts or trillion-dollar concessions to a U.S. leader, even during World War II.”
Hani Tawfiq, an Egyptian economist, also expressed strong disgust at the Arab rulers’ sycophancy toward Trump and their competition to outdo each other in warmly welcoming him and offering investments. He harshly criticized the lack of action to halt the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Addressing the Arab rulers, he said: “What is being done is a crime for which history will hold you accountable, even before divine judgment.”
Aliya Al-Mahdi, former dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in Egypt, also sharply criticized the behavior of Arab rulers, stating: “What is the benefit of all this money and gifts to America and its president? Successful leaders rely on their popular base and the support of their people, focusing on their success in governing their country.”
Fawzi Al-Ashmawi, a former Egyptian diplomat, strongly criticized Arab countries for not leveraging their power, such as cutting ties, canceling agreements with the Zionist regime, or refraining from investing in the U.S. as a supporter of Tel Aviv, noting that this failure contributes to the ongoing massacre in the Gaza Strip.
Kamal Habib, an Egyptian analyst, referred to the events of Trump’s trip to the region as an act of subservience by the rulers, stating: “This was not merely about contracts, economic, or commercial cooperation, but a clear surrender to America.”
He pointed to the celebratory ceremonies, warm welcomes, expensive gifts, and media propaganda during Trump’s visit to the three Arab countries, harshly criticizing the absence of any demand from these countries to stop the war on Gaza.
