Cyprus under Zionists' siege; Will Palestine's occupation catastrophe be repeated in Europe?
Pars Today- The unprecedented wave of escape of Zionists to Cyprus and massive purchase of real estates of the country by Israeli investors have caused anger and concern of Cyprians.
Israeli daily, Yedioth Ahronoth, wrote in a report, "Concurrent with an upsurge of purchasing real estates by Israelis, Cyprus is witness to an unprecedented public wrath against Israelis and Zionism."
According to this Israeli newspaper, amid warnings about Israel's organized plot for dominating Cyprus, the issue has turned into the main political and media discourse in the country.
According to Pars Today, quoting from IRNA, the climax of this row took place at the conference of the leftist party "AKEL"- the second big party in the Cyprus- where Secretary General, Stephanos Stephanou, used harsh words against Zionists and warned that buying real estates by Zionists is a serious threat to the Cyprian sovereignty especially in places near vital and strategic infrastructures.
Stephanou said that what is happening in Cyprus is like what happened in Palestine because Zionists bought Palestinian lands gradually.
The secretary general of AKEL added that purchasing real estate by Zionists in this country is part of a broader scheme which includes establishment of Zionist-inhabited settlements, religious schools, synagogues and increase of economic influence by Zionists.
Stephanou accused the Cyprian government of lacking control over the sale of real estate to foreigners, particularly Zionists, and called for an immediate action in this regard.
In the same regard, Abdullah al-Atari, Palestine's Ambassador to Cyprus, took part at AKEL conference as an official lecturer. This was the first time that a foreign ambassador attended the event. This showed the growing sensitivity towards the migration of Zionists to Cyprus and buying real estates in the country.
Reports indicate that, despite imposition of legal and political restrictions in this region, Zionists own real estates in the Turkish-inhabited part of the island.
However, Oren Anolik, the envoy of the fake Zionist regime in Nicosia, in a statement, called for struggle against what he described as "antisemitism" and "demonizing Zionists" in Cyprus. He stressed that criticizing Israel shouldn't expand to Zionists as "individuals" or "investors" in Cyprus.
According to official statistics, nearly 2500 Israelis are permanent inhabitants of Cyprus, but, regarding the fact that many of them have entered the island with [counterfeit] European passports, their real number should be 12-15 thousand.
Experts maintain that, as the Occupied Territories have become insecure during the recent years, the wave of Zionists escaping to Cyprus and buying real estates by them will create a serious threat for the sovereignty of the country in near future.
This has given rise to housing crisis in the country as native Cypriots believe that Israelis are buying (seizing) everything.
