From hospitality of Sunni Muslims in serving Arbaeen pilgrims to the gift of a manuscript Quran by a German pilgrim

Mamosta Faeq Rostami, the Friday Prayers Leader of Sanandaj
Pars Today – The Representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the city of Sanandaj, in Iran’s western Kurdistan Province, highlighted the strong presence of the people of Kordestan and Sunni Muslims in providing services to Arbaeen pilgrims at the Bashmaq border crossing. He described this as a clear sign of their affection and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
Mamosta Faeq Rostami, the Friday Prayers Leader of Sanandaj in western Iran, said in his Friday sermon:
“The hospitality and efforts of the people of this region in serving Arbaeen pilgrims are a vivid example of solidarity and unity among Muslims. Today, more than ever, the Islamic community is in need of practical unity, and officials must safeguard this valuable asset.”
Donation of a precious manuscript Quran by a German pilgrim to the Astan Quds Razavi Museum
“Daneshvar,” an Iranian pilgrim residing in Germany, has donated a precious handwritten copy of the Holy Quran to the museum of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (pbuh), the eighth Imam of the Shia Muslims.
This manuscript Quran, delivered to the Center for Manuscripts of Astan Quds Razavi, bears unique features including transcription in Indian Naskh script, medium size, and an embossed brown leather binding. According to the report, the manuscript dates back to the year 1255 AH, roughly two centuries ago.
It is worth noting that Astan Quds Razavi, which holds one of the richest collections of handwritten Qur’an manuscripts in the world, has always welcomed the donation of such precious works by devotees of Imam Reza (pbuh) from across the globe.
Quran and Arbaeen: An inseparable bond for preserving the message of Imam Hussain (pbuh)
Hadi Rabiei, Secretary of the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt Council at Iran’s Public Libraries Institution, emphasized that people often unconsciously consider Arbaeen and programs related to the Ahl al-Bayt (pbut) as separate from the Quran, while in reality the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt constitute a single foundation.
He noted that if this perspective is corrected, the movement of Imam Hussain (pbuh) can be understood entirely within the framework of Quranic concepts.
Rabiei added that Arbaeen, recognized as one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, provides a unique opportunity to revisit and deepen the teachings of Islam rooted in the Quran. This great event, he said, is not only an expression of love for the Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh) but also a platform for strengthening the bond between Quranic culture and the message of Imam Hussain’s uprising.
