U.S. effort to align Arab countries with Zionist regime
Pars Today – Continuing its regional policies, U.S. President Donald Trump has personally asked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to take steps toward normalizing relations with the Zionist regime after the end of the Gaza war.
According to Pars Today, quoting ISNA, Trump’s request to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to normalize relations with the Zionist regime was raised during a phone call between the two last month and is expected to be followed up in their official meeting at the White House on November 18.
According to the Axios news website, U.S. officials hope that progress on normalization will be achieved during this meeting.
Although differences between Riyadh and Tel Aviv remain deep, Washington is seeking to steer Saudi Arabia in this direction by offering security and political incentives.
Among the Saudi demands are obtaining security guarantees from the U.S. and assurances for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The White House claims that Trump’s peace plan for Gaza will pave the way to achieve this goal. However, public opinion in Saudi Arabia, which has taken strong anti-Israel positions during the Gaza war, remains a significant obstacle to advancing this policy.
U.S. officials, while emphasizing the fulfillment of previous commitments to the Saudis, are now seeking a positive response from Riyadh to Trump’s requests. This effort is considered part of Washington’s broader strategy to establish an Arab-Israeli axis in the region and isolate the Resistance axis.
