X users: Trump is making America flush again

US President, Donald Trump
Pars Today – The release of a video showing Trump using offensive language toward Haiti and African countries during a speech has sparked a wave of reactions from users on the social media platform X
U.S. President Donald Trump recently admitted in a speech to his supporters in Pennsylvania that in 2018, during a closed-door meeting with U.S. lawmakers, he used derogatory terms to refer to Haiti and African nations. Previously, he had denied making such statements. In his recent speech, he described Somalia as “dirty, filthy, hateful, and crime-ridden.” Trump also emphasized the “permanent halt of immigration from Third World countries, including Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many others,” calling them hellish.
Pars Today reviewed user reactions on X regarding Trump’s remarks and the surrounding controversy.
One user, Marlene Robertson, wrote: “Watching Trump single-handedly turn a country that was once great into a fascist dump makes me prouder than ever to be Canadian.”
Another user, Thomas Bill, wrote: “Damn you, Jeff Landry, and damn you, child-abusing dictator Trump. You’re both nothing but ugly thieves, and no Greenlander or Dane wants to be part of your dirty country. Merry Christmas.”
Also, Greg Sargent, a columnist for The New Republic, wrote, referring to Trump’s declining popularity due to his statements and positions: “A new Associated Press poll shows Trump’s approval on immigration has dropped to a shocking 38 percent, as he rants about ‘shithole countries’ in a psychotic tone, maligns Somalis, threatens large-scale denaturalization and re-immigration, and openly favors white immigrants over non-white ones.”
The account “Canada Hates Trump” responded to Trump’s remarks, writing: “It’s truly shameful that the President of the United States and someone involved in the largest sex trafficking ring in human history are the same person. But the real horror is how 35 percent of Americans have so easily normalized this.”
Another X user, LeRoi Aragon, alluding to European colonial history, wrote: “When Donald Trump said African countries are ‘shithole countries,’ I think he meant Michigan and Illinois.”
Another user, Doug, sarcastically referencing Trump’s “America First” slogan, wrote: “Trump is making America flush again!”
