U.S. President Donald Trump
Pars Today – Iranian users on the social media platform X have reacted to the U.S. attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Maduro.
The U.S., in its assault on Venezuela, reportedly bombed certain infrastructure, including airports, and announced that the Venezuelan president and his spouse had been arrested and removed from the country. Following the operation, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement calling it the end of Maduro’s government. This move prompted reactions from Iranian X users, which are highlighted in this Pars Today report.
Iranian social media user Hassanin Haddad criticized the U.S. for violating nations’ rights, writing: “The looting of Venezuela’s oil by the U.S. has begun. For America, the rights of nations don’t matter—if there’s something to plunder, it immediately shifts from international law to the law of the jungle.”
In the same vein, X user Anya commented: “After the fall of Saddam, the dictator of Iraq’s former Ba’athist regime, the Americans stole the country’s gold. Venezuela will be looted just like Iraq. History is repeating itself.”
Another user, Mohammad Hossein Chavoshi, addressed Maduro’s arrest by the U.S., writing: “Nicolás Maduro has officially been kidnapped by America. Perhaps this is the largest abduction in the world.”
Also, Parisa Nasser, another X activist, described the U.S. as the greatest threat to the entire world.
X activist Hossein Pak argued that the U.S. attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro have a goal beyond Venezuela or Maduro personally. He wrote: “The U.S. wants to send a message to the world that it can do whatever it wants. But this image is false, because in just the past year, the United States—alongside the Israeli regime—was stopped in the Lebanon war, reached a dead end in the attack on Yemen, and failed in the 12-day war with Iran.”
Another X user, Reyhan, also reacted to the U.S. operation, writing: “Nicolás Maduro, the legitimate president of Venezuela, was kidnapped by American troops and taken to New York. This is an example of American democracy.”
