Pars Today – The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied by Zionists has called on countries around the world to suspend relations and impose international sanctions against the Israeli regime.

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied by Zionists, criticized the continuation of Israel’s actions in the occupied territories and stressed that countries should suspend their relations with this regime as long as Tel Aviv fails to comply with international law.

According to Pars Today, Albanese stated that the Israeli regime has no right to obstruct the activities of humanitarian organizations in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian areas. Her remarks came after the Israeli regime demolished the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem—an unprecedented move that, according to a UNRWA spokesperson, has effectively destroyed the agency’s offices and educational centers.

The Zionist regime also plans to construct around 1,400 residential units for its settlers on the site of the demolished buildings, an action that runs counter to international law.

Albanese emphasized that the Israeli regime’s actions demonstrate a complete disregard for international law and an attempt to undermine UN humanitarian missions. She said the time has come for the UN General Assembly to suspend Israel’s membership in the organization and to impose international sanctions, including a ban on arms trade with it.

The report shows that the human rights situation in Palestine remains critical and that the international community needs urgent and practical measures to prevent the expansion of violations of international law and to safeguard humanitarian missions.
