Pars Today – An American journalist, in a blunt criticism of Washington’s policies toward Israel, described the regime as the largest foreign burden on the United States.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Tucker Carlson, a well-known American journalist and analyst, said in an interview with the Saudi network Rotana that the strong focus of Washington politicians on supporting Israel has made it “the largest foreign burden” on the U.S.

He stressed that the close relationship between Israel and the United States is currently working to Washington’s disadvantage, with American resources being spent for the benefit of Tel Aviv.

Referring to the efforts of Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, to leverage the U.S. in order to secure Tel Aviv’s interests, Carlson added that the United States is under significant pressure to use its resources to initiate another war in West Asia.

Another criticism of U.S. leaders’ loyalty to Israel

Tucker Carlson also pointed to domestic problems in the United States, saying that in a situation where the country faces economic challenges, national unity issues, and migration crises, U.S. leaders should resist external pressure instead of focusing on the demands of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The American journalist sharply criticized senators such as Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, who are widely known for their strong support of Israel, arguing that these politicians prioritize Israeli interests over the interests of the American people and, in his words, have even betrayed their own country.

Carlson’s remarks reflect growing concerns inside the United States that overly close relations with the Israeli regime may harm U.S. national interests, and that American politicians should be held accountable for such policies.
