Politico: Iran’s capabilities remain intact
Pars Today — An American magazine, amid growing doubts about the consequences of the war between Israel and the United States against Iran and the lack of a clear vision for Iran’s next phase, wrote that Iran’s governing structure remains largely cohesive.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News, the American magazine Politico wrote in a report that “Iran is not Venezuela.” The report says Donald Trump had considered the idea of repeating what happened in Venezuela, hoping to resolve the situation quickly through a rapid operation. However, Iran is described as a religious state that has been firmly established for nearly five decades.
The report added that Iran’s leader oversees a complex system, combining religious, political, and military leadership, and that mechanisms exist to fill key positions when vacancies occur.
Politico further wrote that Trump’s hopes of overthrowing the Iranian system will not be realized.
The report concluded that while Iran’s security capabilities have largely remained intact, Trump, on the other side, does not appear to have a clear plan for the war.
