Pars Today — The captain of the Ireland national team, Seamus Coleman, expressed his support for any player who may choose not to play matches against the team of the occupying Zionist entity for ethical reasons

According to Pars Today citing the Palestine Information Center, Seamus Coleman, captain of the Ireland national football team, stated that the Irish national team represents the people of his country and must reflect their positions and values.

These remarks come as opposition in Ireland to holding a match against the Israeli regime team is increasing day by day. Irish spectators disrupted the flow of last night's match against Qatar by throwing tennis balls onto the pitch and, by raising Palestinian flags, showed their protest against Ireland's upcoming match against the Israeli regime team in the UEFA Nations League.

Heimir Hallgrímsson, head coach of the Republic of Ireland national team, also stated ahead of the match against the Israeli regime team: "In my belief, our best response is to win this match and win this war against 'Israel.'"

Earlier, the Irish government also approved a draft law banning the import of goods from Israeli settlements. This law, named the "Occupied Territories Bill," prevents the entry of goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements.

The Irish Prime Minister said that this law is in continuation of recognizing the State of Palestine and supporting South Africa's lawsuit accusing Israel of genocide against Palestinians at the International Court of Justice.
