China: Increased instability in West Asia serves no one’s interests

Pars Today- China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has once again stressed that increased instability in the region serves no one’s interests.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, said at the ministry’s regular press conference on Monday that Beijing is deeply concerned about the deteriorating situation in Yemen and the Red Sea, which has resulted in civilian casualties and damage to key infrastructure and energy facilities.

Stressing that attacks on civilian facilities linked to people’s livelihoods are in no way acceptable, he called on the parties involved to exercise restraint and resolve their differences through political and diplomatic dialogue.

The Chinese diplomat said that increased instability in the region serves no one’s interests, adding that the sovereignty and security of all countries must be respected and that differences should be resolved through political and diplomatic means.

Guo Jiakun stressed that China calls on all relevant parties to exercise restraint, reduce tensions through dialogue and exchanges, and work toward immediate de-escalation in the region.
