The Western regimes claim to be concerned over the state of human rights in the world. These regimes have infiltrated in the UN Human Rights Council, making use of their politically-motivated reports to pile up pressure on countries, which are opposed to hegemonic powers.

Now the question is why an important topic such as human rights is used for attainment of the West’s political goals.

If concerns over human rights would be presented in a realistic and constructive manner, it would give rise to many positive outcomes for the human community.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has on several occasions declared that it attaches paramount importance to reduction of genuine concerns on human rights, based on human and religious values. However, Islamic Republic of Iran has also expressed concern over the West’s intention to politicize the issue of human rights.

Meanwhile, a number of reports are released every year by the US State Department and British Foreign Office, under the heading of countries which breach human rights. In these reports, those who claim to champion human rights in the world, baselessly introduce Iran as a violator of human rights.

The provocative and politically-motivated measures of the US and the West against Iran in recent years have revolved round three unfounded claims on Iran’s nuclear plan, Iran’s alleged support for terrorism, and Iran’s alleged violation of human rights, as integral parts of the West’s Iranophobia campaign.

The US State Department has on numerous occasions presented fake reports on the state of human rights in other countries, while also intending to challenge the sacred Islamic system in this regard.

Some of these reports are presented by the Special Rapporteur of Human Rights Council, Ahmed Shaheed, which mention unfounded claims, accusing Iran of what is referred to as violation of human rights.

These reports systematically aim to present a groundless, dull, and bleak image of Iranian community.  In reports which are usually prepared upon the recommendations of political lobbies in countries such as the US, Canada, and Britain; the state of human rights in Iran is analyzed and assessed. These unfounded reports aim to somehow pile up pressure on Iran and to isolate Islamic Iran in the global scene. They are in fact a manifestation of the misuse of the topic of human rights by the West against the countries that stand up against hegemonic powers.

Those, who prepare these groundless reports, aim to depict a disagreeable image of the state of human rights in Iran. These reports are intent on challenging the criminal and civil laws of Iran, which are compatible to Islamic rulings.

The US State Department’s report in the year 2016 has challenged the death sentence of drug traffickers in Iran, and has made baseless claims such as violation of the principles of freedom of expression, and imposition of pressure on religious minorities in Iran.

The baseless claims of the US about Islamic Iran in fact fall within the category of the Iranophobia campaign that has been staged by the Western regimes.

Concurrent with the US measures, the British Foreign Office has released a report on the so-called status of human rights in the world countries. This report has allocated a chapter which baselessly refers to violation of human rights in Iran.

Undoubtedly, the organizers of such reports aim to present a distorted image of Islamic Republic of Iran within the framework of the Iranophobia campaign. This comes while the duty of the UN Human Rights Council is to prevent a politically-motivated and selective study of human rights.

The US State Department report in fact reflects the hostile policies of the US and its cohorts against Iran. Currently, the US intends to turn its baseless allegations on the state of human rights in Iran as a means to justify its hostility toward Islamic Iran.

The question that springs to mind is why do the US and those, who claim to champion human rights, insist on baselessly introducing Iran as a violator of human rights, while they are well aware of the fact that their reports are groundless and politically-motivated. The other question is to what is the situation of human rights within states, which claim to champion human rights.

To respond to these questions, there is need for further studies. The fact of the matter is that Islamic Iran has stood up against domineering powers, which is a major task. If the Islamic Republic of Iran had not firmly stood against pressures imposed by hegemonic powers, the Iranophobia campaign would have not existed, and Iran would have been one of the client regimes of the arrogant powers.

One should bear in mind that the Global Arrogance has always been intent to disrepute Islamic Iran. However, Islamic Republic of Iran, via steadfastness and emphasis on true values has shown it is not prepared to change its behavior due to the illegitimate demands of domineering powers. Meanwhile, the futile effort of the domineering powers to somehow demonize Iran is due to the steadfastness of Islamic Iran against hegemonic powers.

In the years after the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, the arrogant powers, led by the US, have taken advantage of all possible means to somehow force Iran to bow down, and to attain their evil goals. Obviously, they made use of every opportunity to deal a blow against Iran. In fact, the West’s claims over the state of human rights have been highly challenged, even by the Western communities.

Meanwhile, the sacred Islamic system is indomitably resolved to achieve its goals and ideals; to stand up against all pressures; and to negate the domination of world powers.

The US makes baseless claims against Iran while a long list of US anti-human measures against Iran have been registered.
