Recently, Shiraz has been introduced as Iran's Book Capital, while the cities of Bam, Shahr-e Ray, and Rafsanjan have also been titled as Iran's creative book-reading cities. Additionally, twenty-one exemplary villages in different parts of Iran are engaging in the campaign for promotion of book-reading, and have been introduced and praised as book-friendly villages.
