Several options are open to the UN to pressure the Zionist regime into ditching new settlement plans though. The onus must be on boycotts and sanctions. UN member states individually and collectively express their frustration with Israel’s policy of occupation, but so far that frustration has not coalesced into a determination to take action like for example economic sanctions.
