Fighting organized crimes: Iranian diplomat meets with UN official
Pars Today - The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations discussed cooperation between Iran and the United Nations in combating drug trafficking and transnational organized crimes during a meeting with a UN official in Vienna.
Reza Najafi, Iran’s new Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the European Office of the United Nations based in Vienna, met and conferred on Wednesday with Ghada Fathi Waly, Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), where he presented his credentials. During this meeting, Waly, considering Iran's useful and valuable background and experiences, emphasized the effective and constructive role of the Islamic Republic in combating drug trafficking and commended the measures taken by Iran in these areas./ISNA
