Diesel prices hit $10 in California

Pars Today- GasBuddy, a company that tracks fuel prices, has announced that diesel prices at some gas stations in California have reached $9.999 — effectively $10 — per gallon.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, as the fallout from the US aggression against Iran and the intensifying energy crisis in West Asia has increased pressure on global fuel markets, diesel prices at some California gas stations have reached $9.999, effectively $10, per gallon. The average diesel price across the United States has also surpassed $6 for the first time.

According to reports by US media outlets, while diesel prices in the United States have reached their highest level ever, some gas stations in California can no longer practically display a higher price, with pump displays maxing out at $9.999 per gallon.

GasBuddy, which tracks fuel prices, said a limited number of gas stations in California have raised their diesel prices to the maximum amount their pumps can display.

Fortune magazine reports that this comes as the average diesel price across the state has reached $7.91 per gallon.

GasBuddy said the $9.999 price was seen on Wednesday on the pump displays at several gas stations in the Serra Mesa area of San Diego.

The company is also investigating similar reports from other areas.
