Pars Today - Iran’s minister of agricultural jihad, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Brazil, emphasized the need to activate the joint agricultural committee between the two countries in a meeting with his Indian counterpart.

On the sidelines of the BRICS ministerial meeting in Brasilia, Iran’s Minister of Agricultural Jihad, Gholamreza Nouri met and conferred with Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Indian Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare. Nouri highlighted the long-standing trade ties between the two countries and emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in areas such as research, biotechnology, and updated trade protocols. He also called for expanding collaboration between Iran and India on food security, agriculture, and food. For his part, the Indian minister, referring to the deep cultural, social, and commercial connections between the two nations, announced India’s readiness to expand both bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Iran. /IRIB news agency
