Araghchi meets & confers with Italian foreign minister

Pars Today - Shortly before attending indirect negotiations with the United States, the Iranian foreign minister met with his Italian counterpart to discuss bilateral and international developments.

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in a meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Saturday, emphasized Iran’s commitment to diplomacy and the long history of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s engagement with other countries on the nuclear issue. He reiterated the necessity for all parties to seize the current opportunity to reach a logical and reasonable understanding, which, while respecting the legitimate rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran and lifting cruel and illegal sanctions, would dispel any doubts about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program through voluntary confidence-building measures./ IRNA
