Parliament speaker: Iran-Indonesia play a key role in establishing peace & security
Pars Today – The speaker of Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) stated that the strategic conditions of Iran and Indonesia have enabled them to play a key role in establishing peace and security, presenting a valuable opportunity for Islamic countries and other nations.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on Thursday on the sidelines of the 19th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) member states in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, during a meeting with Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, referred to the longstanding historical relations between the two countries and described the geopolitical positions of Iran and Indonesia as highly significant. He added, "You are located in Southeast Asia and we are in Southwest Asia, two strategic points that enable us to play a key role in establishing peace and security, providing a valuable opportunity for Islamic countries and other nations."/ IRNA
