Pars Today – New surveys indicate that the U.S. president's popularity among independent voters has reached its lowest level during his second term. Analysts believe that if this trend continues, Trump’s reliance on his traditional base may not be enough, as independent voters often determine the final election outcome and tend to make decisions based on actual performance rather than party affiliation.

According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, new analyses show that U.S. President Donald Trump is facing alarming signs from independent voters, as his approval rating among this group has hit its lowest point in his second term. 

Based on data from the American website Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), disapproval of Trump’s performance as president among independent voters has surpassed 60% for the first time since he took office. This decline is part of a broader trend of decreasing overall popularity for Trump in June. 

Analysts believe dissatisfaction with Trump’s economic management is a key reason for this drop among independent voters. This shift in sentiment could present a major opportunity for Democrats as they work to rebuild their electoral coalition for 2026 and beyond. 

Financial Times: Trump prioritizes personal interests 

Amid ongoing criticism of Trump, the Financial Times reported that his foreign policy actions have caused confusion among global nations and investors, making the future unpredictable. The report further stated that the world is dealing with someone who prioritizes personal interests over any strategic vision. 

Criticism of Trump’s immigration policies

Meanwhile, Charlize Theron, an American actress, criticized Trump’s immigration policies, stating: 

"We are rapidly moving backwards. The U.S. government’s immigration policies are destroying families, not criminals; women’s rights are diminishing every day, and gender-based violence is on the rise. This is not policy—it’s a personal agenda."
