Sanctions before talks: US discredited once more

Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the new US sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic on the eve of the fifth round of negotiations as evidence of Washington’s lack of seriousness in diplomacy.

On Friday, Esmaeil Baghaei wrote on X (formerly called Twitter): "The US State Department, by extending sanctions to the construction sector, has set a new record in its long history of hostility and unlawful coercive measures against the Iranian nation." He described the action as malevolent, illegal, and inhumane. He added: "Our people are determined to stand firm and unwavering against such illogical hatred." /IRNA
