Araghchi: I deny media claims about flexibility toward America

Pars Today - Iran's Foreign Minister, rejecting claims by some foreign media about Iran's flexibility toward America and on the nuclear issue, has emphasized that these claims are not true at all.

According to Pars Today, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, before leaving New York in an interview with a reporter from the Sada and Sima news agency, said: I firmly state that no change has occurred in Iran's positions, and our conditions for reopening the strait, as well as on other issues, are clear. No flexibility has been shown at present, and no discussion other than our plan has been raised at all.

He added: Our discussion is clear and only the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is on the table, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is contingent upon the fulfillment of a set of conditions that we have announced to the other side. I request that no attention be paid to these speculations or the deliberate atmosphere-creation that some foreign media are engaged in.

Referring to his new meeting with one of the Qatari mediators in New York, Araghchi said: In this meeting, the necessary discussions took place, and we hope to receive America's response through them by Tuesday. Iran's plan for reopening the Strait of Hormuz was conveyed to the Americans through the mediator.
