Takht-Ravanchi: Americans say one thing in negotiations and another outside

Pars Today – Iran’s deputy foreign minister said US's positions on Iran’s nuclear issue are contradictory.

In an interview with the German weekly Der Spiegel published Friday, Majid Takht-Ravanchi said, “The Americans’ positions and statements inside the negotiating room differ from their public statements outside the negotiations.” He warned that continuing Washington's current approach could lead to the failure of Iran-US negotiations. Takht-Ravanchi stressed, “If the US insists on zero enrichment, negotiations will not succeed.” He added that enrichment is a key national achievement and Tehran will uphold its right to peaceful use of nuclear energy.
