Lapid: Occupation of Gaza will burden Israeli taxpayers with cost of food and medicine

Pars Today – The head of the Zionist regime's opposition warned on Sunday of the grave economic and humanitarian consequences of any Israeli effort to occupy the Gaza Strip, stating that the Gaza war imposes the cost of food and medicine on Israeli taxpayers.

Yair Lapid noted that such a scenario would force Tel Aviv to use taxpayers' money to provide basic necessities—such as food and medicine—for Gaza’s residents amid a worsening humanitarian catastrophe.

Previously, CNN revealed that over 80 percent of the Gaza Strip is under evacuation orders and at risk of destruction, while the Israeli regime's military operation—officially declared as aiming for full control over Gaza—has accelerated. (ISNA)
