Palestinian commission reports dire conditions in Israeli jails
Pars Today – The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs revealed the deteriorating humanitarian and sanitary conditions in Israeli prisons, particularly at Sde Teiman Camp and Megiddo Prison.
Citing field visits conducted by its legal team, the Commission reported that the conditions of captives at Israel’s Sde Teiman Detention Camp are extremely poor and inhumane.
According to the Commission, Palestinian captives are subjected to systematic torture and degrading treatment that violates their human dignity. The report, based on testimonies gathered from within the camp, describes the conditions as the harshest and most severe among all detention sites. The details, it added, are increasingly horrific over time. (ISNA)
