White House shake-up: Two senior NSC officials resign

Pars Today – Two senior officials from the US National Security Council (NSC) have left their positions over the past week amid recent structural changes within the body.

According to Reuters, Ian Bennett, Senior Director for Industrial and Maritime Capacity, and Brian McCormack, NSC Chief of Staff, have both resigned.

The resignations come in the wake of a reorganization that merged West Asia and Africa divisions and eliminated others.

Since returning to the White House, President Donald Trump has removed nearly all personnel appointed during Joe Biden’s presidency. Now, even individuals appointed under Trump himself are reportedly being dismissed. (IRNA)
