Iranian Parliament Speaker arrives in Islamabad

Pars Today – Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Iran's Majlis (parliament) Speaker, arrived in Islamabad, where he was officially welcomed by his Pakistani counterpart as part of an official visit to meet with Pakistan’s parliamentary and senior government leaders.

Upon arrival on Wednesday, Qalibaf and his accompanying delegation were received by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, and Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Iran’s ambassador to Islamabad. During the visit, Qalibaf is scheduled to hold talks with the heads and members of Pakistan’s National Assembly and Senate, as well as meet senior political figures, including the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The visit also includes trips to the major cities of Lahore and Karachi—Pakistan’s cultural and economic hubs—where the Iranian Speaker will meet with cultural and religious figures, intellectuals, and business leaders./ IRNA
