Clashes continue in Suwayda despite ceasefire announcement

Pars Today – Despite a declared ceasefire by Syria’s interim government, videos and images show that clashes between Jolani’s forces and the Druze community continue in Suwayda Province.

Moments after the ceasefire announcement, Jolani’s forces violated the truce and launched assaults on civilians and their homes in the region. Footage continues to show that Jolani’s forces and some tribal militias remain trapped in ambushes laid by armed Druze factions in Suwayda.

Arab tribes allied with Jolani have stated that they will not leave Suwayda unless the interim Syrian government and security forces assume control of the situation.
