Moscow responds to Trump’s threats against BRICS

Pars Today – A senior Russian official has responded to US President Donald Trump's threats against the BRICS bloc, stating that no member state of the regional alliance seeks to replace the US dollar.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said the BRICS group is seeking alternative mechanisms that are resilient to negative external influences and immune to foreign developments such as sanctions. He noted that turning to national currencies for transactions is the path BRICS has taken, and currently, over 90% of Russia’s transactions with its BRICS partners are conducted in national currencies.
