Leader’s Advisor: The "Zangezur Corridor" is an American plan to pressure Russia and Iran

Pars Today – Ali Akbar Velayati, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s advisor on international affairs, described the Zangezur Corridor as an American-Zionist scheme to besiege and pressure Iran and Russia.

In a message on Saturday during a ceremony honoring Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardebili, Velayati stated: "Iran’s enemies, particularly global Zionism and the US, pursue projects like the 'Zangezur Corridor' as a cover for larger geopolitical schemes. The primary goal is to weaken the Axis of Resistance, sever Iran’s connection to the Caucasus, and impose a land blockade on Iran and Russia in the southern region." He added that this plan is not only part of America’s strategy to replace Ukraine with the Caucasus as a new pressure front against Russia and Iran but is also being pursued with NATO’s support and certain Pan-Turkist movements. / IRIB News Agency
