Hamas sets conditions for resuming ceasefire talks
Pars Today – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced in a statement on Friday that it is ready to immediately return to negotiations if aid reaches those in need and the humanitarian crisis and famine in Gaza come to an end.
In its statement, Hamas declared: "The famine imposed by the Zionist regime in Gaza has reached an unbearable level and poses the greatest threat to the health of over two million Palestinians."
The movement added: "We call on the international community and all relevant bodies to act urgently to stop this collective crime being committed by the enemy, and to ensure that food aid reaches the Palestinian people across all areas of Gaza without delay or conditions, and that their protection is guaranteed."
Hamas concluded by emphasizing that continuing negotiations under the pressure of famine deprives the talks of substance and usefulness, especially after the criminal Zionist regime abruptly withdrew from the negotiations last week without any justification, even as both sides were close to reaching an agreement.
