Pars Today – The Egyptian Foreign Minister, in a phone conversation with Steve Witkoff, the U.S. President’s envoy for West Asia, emphasized the need to reduce tensions in the region and stated that Iran’s nuclear program has no military solution.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s website, Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, spoke on Wednesday by phone with Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for West Asia, about developments in Iran and Gaza. During the call, both sides discussed regional developments, including the catastrophic situation in Gaza and matters related to Iran’s nuclear program.

Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, said that during the phone conversation, Badr Abdelatty emphasized Cairo’s position in support of reducing tensions in the Middle East and reiterated that there is no military solution to Iran’s nuclear program or other regional crises.
