Islamic Jihad: Israel seeking full occupation of West Bank

Pars Today — The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement announced that the Zionist regime, by intensifying its settlement plans, is seeking to fully swallow the West Bank and annex it to the Occupied Territories.

The movement stated that Israel’s announcement of establishing new settlement units in the northern occupied West Bank and the northeast of the city of al-Khalil represents a dangerous escalation within a plan aimed at entrenching the annexation of the West Bank to the Occupied Territories.

In its statement, Islamic Jihad added that this systematic escalation confirms that the military operations carried out by the Zionist regime against cities and refugee camps in the West Bank are fundamentally aimed at seizing and confiscating land, converting it into Zionist settlements, and uprooting the Palestinian presence.

The statement further explained that reports about Israel’s intention to revoke the operating licenses of dozens of humanitarian institutions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip—following its decision to halt the activities of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)—are part of a systematic policy to restrict the Palestinian presence and impose a comprehensive blockade affecting various aspects of daily life and humanitarian conditions. /IRIB News Agency
