Pars Today – The Deputy Commander of the Law Enforcement Command of Iran described the country’s borders as a point of connection and friendship with neighboring countries and announced full readiness to ensure the security of pilgrims and border guards.

According to IRNA, Brigadier General Qasem Rezaei visited the Mehran border crossing in Ilam Province and the “Farrokhabad” border post.

He said: “The enduring security of the Islamic Republic of Iran is rooted in the self-sacrifice and vigilance of border guards, and today Iran’s borders are a center of connection and friendship with neighboring countries.”

Referring to the daily movement of about 10,000 pilgrims through the Mehran border, he added that border forces are fully prepared and maintain a revolutionary spirit to secure these strategic areas.

General Rezaei emphasized professional cooperation with border guards of neighboring countries, saying that coordination and joint meetings have helped ensure sustainable security along the border strip.

He also described solidarity between border forces and border communities as the main factor supporting regional stability, noting that Mehran border crossing is one of the busiest pilgrimage transit routes throughout the year.
