Pars Today- Retired US Army officer and foreign policy analyst Daniel Davis, referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s powerful defensive capabilities, told Washington’s warmongering officials that they cannot defeat Iran militarily.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Daniel Davis, a retired US Army officer and foreign policy analyst, wrote in a series of posts on his account on the social media platform X: “Iran did not spend decades preparing to win an air war. It spent those decades building defensive fortifications so it could withstand such a war.”

Comparing Iran to a mountain made of granite, one of the hardest natural rocks on Earth, he added: “The reality is that you cannot destroy a granite mountain even with nuclear weapons, so you will not be able to defeat Iran militarily.”

The retired US Army officer went on to warn the delusional and warmongering president of the United States, saying Donald Trump should accept the objective and battlefield realities of the war with Iran before the military aggression against Iran enters another phase and make decisions based on those realities, rather than on political narratives and rhetoric that may conceal or distort the facts.

He added: “If anyone has the delusion that Iran will allow us to attack it however we want without facing a proportionate retaliatory response, they are living in a fantasy world.”

The US analyst also said Iran has so far demonstrated that it can respond to anything we throw at it, noting: “We have also demonstrated that we do not have sufficient defensive capabilities to completely stop them.”

He went on to say that before the conflict in West Asia escalates further, the United States needs an honest assessment of the situation, adding: “The wisest strategy for the United States is not to escalate the situation without considering the consequences of its actions, but to find a way to end this cycle before the costs of this conflict become far heavier for the United States.”

Davis also stressed: “At this point, getting out of this situation—even if it means reaching a bad deal for US interests—is far better than ignoring the military realities and continuing the attacks in the vain hope that we will achieve what we want.”

He further noted: “One of our biggest mistakes in the war against Iran was believing that escalating tensions would have no consequences for us.”
