Britain blocks 80 arms export licenses to Israeli military

Pars Today- Britain’s Foreign Office has announced that the country has suspended 80 export licenses for items that could be used by the Israeli regime’s military in the war in Gaza.

Citing IRNA, Pars Today reported that Stephen Doughty, the UK minister of state for West Asia, said his country had suspended 50 more export licenses to Israel for items that could be used by the military in the war in Gaza.

Britain had previously suspended 30 licenses for the export of weapons to the Israeli regime.

He noted that the new measures introduced by the country would create a “dual-lock mechanism” that prevents the approval of the licenses.

Despite the cancellation of some licenses for arms exports to the Israeli regime, the shipment of parts for F-35 fighter jets is exempt from the measure.

European countries have reduced their support for the Israeli regime following its actions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. However, in many cases, this has gone no further than statements and declarations.
