Netherlands condemns Israeli settlement expansion in East al-Quds

Pars Today – Caspar Veldkamp, the Dutch Foreign Minister, called Israel’s settlement expansion plan in East al-Quds illegal and condemned it.

On Wednesday evening, Veldkamp wrote on X: “I condemn Israel’s decision to advance the illegal E1 settlement plan. This plan divides the occupied West Bank into two parts. Its implementation is a clear violation of international law and would practically make the establishment of a future Palestinian state impossible.”

He added that the Netherlands and the European Union have long opposed such plans and the expansion of illegal settlements. On Wednesday, Israel approved the E1 settlement plan in East al-Quds with the aim of “undermining the territorial continuity of the West Bank” and impacting the establishment of a Palestinian state.
