Pars Today - In response to U.S. pressure and Western criticism of New Delhi for purchasing oil from Russia, India's Foreign Minister emphasized: "If you don't like it, don't buy the oil."
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stated that New Delhi makes its decisions solely based on national interests and views the purchase of Russian oil not only as beneficial for India's energy security but also for global market stability. Referring to challenges in trade agreement negotiations with the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump, he said that India has its red lines. The U.S. President has imposed a 25% tariff on goods exported from India to the United States, which took effect on August 7, and another 25% tariff on India's crude oil trade with Russia will be implemented starting August 27 /IRNA
