Emphasis on implementing cultural agreements between Iran and Azerbaijan

Pars Today - Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance has called for the implementation of previously agreed cultural exchange programs and documents between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In a meeting with Ali Alizadeh, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Tehran, Seyyed Abbas Salehi emphasized that the two countries share deep-rooted historical ties, which have grown stronger over time. He added that organizing cultural days and weeks offers an important opportunity to expand cultural cooperation.
Salehi also underlined the importance of the media in presenting accurate images of both countries to each other, stressing that media should serve to strengthen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Alizadeh, for his part, said that Iran holds a special place in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, noting the two countries’ shared history and numerous commonalities. / IRNA
