Maduro: Prepare for armed resistance against U.S. aggression
Pars Today – The President of Venezuela, during a party meeting, emphasized that millions of Venezuelans are ready to defend the country under any circumstances, and called on the United Socialist Party of Venezuela to prepare for “armed struggle” in the event of a U.S. military attack.
Nicolás Maduro, during a public session of the ruling party, firmly urged the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to, as a unifying force for the political, social, and cultural elements of the revolution, prepare and align itself for “entering armed struggle in the event of a military aggression by U.S. imperialism.”
The Venezuelan President emphasized that the Bolivarian Revolution is no longer an individual phenomenon but has become a collective force. Quoting Simón Bolívar, Maduro added: “To hesitate is to betray.” He assured that the U.S.’s interventionist threats have awakened the historical conscience of the Venezuelan people, who see themselves as heirs of leaders such as Guaicaipuro, Bolívar, Zamora, and Hugo Chávez. Maduro stated: “We are moving toward a national defense organized from the grassroots.”
