UN General Assembly approves draft resolution on the establishment of a Palestinian state

Pars Today – The United Nations General Assembly has approved a draft resolution supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

On Friday, the UN General Assembly adopted the draft resolution endorsing the New York Declaration on implementing the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state. The resolution was approved with 142 votes in favor, 10 against, and 12 abstentions.

The text of the draft resolution condemns the Zionist regime’s attacks on civilians in Gaza, targeting of civilian infrastructure, blockade, and deliberate starvation. It also emphasizes that the war in Gaza must end immediately.
