Russia and India: Iran’s nuclear issue should be resolved through dialogue

Pars Today – The leaders of India and Russia emphasized the importance of dialogue in resolving Iran’s nuclear program.

During the 23rd summit between the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed their commitment to developing a strategic partnership based on trust and mutual respect, as well as cooperation on regional and international issues, particularly the situation in West Asia.

In a joint statement released by the Kremlin on Friday, both sides called for “restraint and respect for human rights in the Middle East” and stressed “the protection of civilians and the strengthening of peace efforts” amid growing concerns over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. They also emphasized adherence to “peace and stability in the Middle East” and “avoiding any actions that could escalate tensions or threaten regional stability.”/ ISNA
