Pars Today — The United Nations has stated its firm opposition to any changes in the borders of the Gaza Strip following the Israeli military’s announcement of a new boundary.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said that Israel’s decision to adopt the “yellow line” from U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan as the new border is “against the spirit and text” of the agreement.
The UN spokesperson emphasized that the United Nations firmly opposes any alterations to the Gaza-Israel borders. Dujarric added that when the UN speaks about Gaza, it refers to the original border “not the boundary within the yellow line.”
These remarks came after a statement by Israel’s chief of general staff, Eyal Zamir, who said that “the yellow line is now the new border of Gaza.” /IRNA
